What’s going on door to door mastery fans?! This is Paul Shakuri and I want to discuss the importance of making it out to turf. Many people get discouraged and just don’t make it out there, they just don’t make it out to turf. People don’t want to get out to go and knock on some doors. As I discuss this, I want you to think about how this could relate to your everyday life. Let me give you a personal example! Today I thought to myself, shit! I have been hitting the gym and playing intense hockey and I thought to myself today I am just not feeling it! I am tired! I am burnt out! Then I thought, hey this is the kind of stuff I talk about! When people don’t feel like going out there and knocking I ask you to ask yourself this; is it physically possible to get the job done? In my case, it’s the gym! Could I physically get my ass to the gym and push through the workouts! Yes, it’s possible! Then I look at the mindset. A few weeks I ran into some roadblocks that were out of my hands that I need to regain back into my control to establish a better value for my clients so they can get better pricing. Finally, I talked to my team and told them that we are basically going to have to go forward with the project on our own.
Throughout the week my mind has been in overdrive. My mental state of mind has been one hundred percent focused on my business and what’s going on with the team, my partners and my clients. This is where I have to use self-talk to be able to fight and overcome the negative thought of “oh I can’t do it!” Think logically, can you do it? Will you do it? Is it physically possible for you to get out to the doors? Yes! Is it going to be mentally draining to get rejected and to possibly come home with a deal? Wrong attitude! You’re going to change that attitude to self-belief and you’re going to go out there knock on those doors and get those deals closed. Because guess what?! You better believe I am going to find a way to get through this workout! Not only am I going to find a way to get through the workout but I am going to push over a hundred percent into crushing this workout! These are the battles! When its difficult and you feel like quitting when you feel like giving up! You don’t want to do it but you fight through those times and you push through and actually get the win by doing what you know you should, instead of throwing the towel and deciding not to go out there and get those deals. If you want to make your mind strong then you have to have willpower and self-talk yourself through going out there and knocking on those doors. Turn that mindset from getting no deals to getting deals by working hard and motivating, pushing through until the end.
You see I have trained myself and I have literally gotten to the point of catching those negative thoughts quickly and turning them instantly into positive and motivating thoughts. This experience has really got me thinking about you and how you can overcome the mental block with a positive self-talk and a positive mindset. As a matter of fact, I had a coaching call today! Someone called in and said they needed more help. They wanted to go over the pitch, the close, the approach etc. I said, bullshit! You need to fall on your face a little more. In reality, you would start to accumulate the wealth and knowledge you need to close more deals because of your door knocking experiences. You would then build a foundation in your mind where you have full belief in yourself. If only you can see where I am and why I have to end this blog so soon. Well, I will tell you! I am in the gym parking lot and am about to put some pump on so my body can trip up my mind for my 38-million-dollar mansion I am working towards in Miami.
