Door to Door Sales Opener Pitch Training Video

What’s going on door to door mastery fans?! I am going to cut right to the chase! Today I am going to be focussing on the opener pitch! Yes, that is right! The opener pitch. I know I have touched base on the opener pitch before and some of you may find that I repeat much of the information shared from pasts posts and the reason behind this is because I want the information to get embedded in your head. This way, it becomes a natural process once you go out there and knock on those doors.

Now, the mass majority of you are thinking that you will not be able to get further in your sales because you have not mastered the opener pitch. Although this may be true there is more to it then meets the eye. I am not trying to put you all down or insult your work ethics but it is important to pay attention to all of the details when it comes to door knocking. You see, if you are not progressing in your opener pitch it means you are lacking the presentation element needed in the sale. Even if you were to progress to that level, you would most likely fumble because you have not mastered the process of door to door selling. I need you to understand that the opener pitch requires a certain personality. You need to be ambitious, to never quit, never give up! You have to have the personality or the mentality to either beat or be eaten. In the back of your mind, you need to focus on getting to the end of the sale. In order to do this, you must use what you already know and do so in an ethical way. Never lie, cheat or steal from your potential customers. My free video series goes through the opener pitch and it covers an important element found in your opener pitch. Never, ever sound like a salesperson in your opener pitch. I will say this again, you have to not sound like the typical salesperson. When you present yourself, you have to stand out from that typical salesperson. You will most likely have a particular kind of person you will enjoy selling too. I myself, enjoy selling to friendly and fun individuals. This is the beauty of our profession, we meet several types of personalities and we can choose to engage with those individuals in many ways. Which brings forth another key element, communication! Starting to engage and bring forth dialogue between you and the customer.

Now, when I first began in door to door sales, I was average. I used the   person’s techniques when I knocked on the door. I found that I was too worried if I was bothering the person at the door and so on. This should resonate inside you as many of you have had the same thought process as I have had in the past. Don’t deny it because it is common to feel and think this way. Sometimes you wait for that not interested so you can leave or even wait to see if they are interested in talking to you so you can move forward. This is what destroys your opener pitch. You need to stand your ground and say what it is you have to say. “Hello, are you the homeowner here? Have you been discussing with your neighbor as to what our company is doing out here?” You have to create that interest, create a dialogue with the customer. The free video series covers the opener pitch and the techniques you can use to make sure you master it at the doors. So, this is what I suggest you do right after you finish reading this post. Sign

Thanks again for being a committed follower! Knock with passion, leave a comment and remember “The best salespeople wonder what it would be like to be in the other person’s shoes. They know they can’t play that game unless they continually strive to train themselves in how we as human beings communicate.” – Bob Phibbs
