My Tips To Get To The Top

On my way to work today, I saw another alarm company which was signing up a gentleman right around the corner. After seeing that, I just wanted to reach out to you all in the industry to express that when you see someone closing a deal, don’t interfere with them, and I’ll give you two main reasons for it:

  1. There are so many opportunities out there, so it doesn’t matter if someone else takes one, you just keep knocking from door to door pitching your potential clients and do your best no matter what.
  2. More importantly, you know as much as I do, how great it feels after all that cold calling, and knocking from door to door when you get a customer and are about to close a deal. How would you feel if someone else just swoops in and interferes with your efforts and risks losing your client?

The moment you develop this mentality you’ll realize the importance and value of your sales.

Recently I was asked by a lady, “How do I stay focused” and as of lately I’ve been getting a lot of calls regarding this question.

According to me, it comes down to two major qualities in order to stay focused and get to the top of this industry.

1. The first thing that matters is to always keep building that confidence and self-esteem. You never get faltered by the hardships and just keep at it until you get that sale.

2.The second skill you have to cultivate in order to stay focused is the stamina, the willpower to get out there and be psyched about going for that meeting, and getting that one sale before coming back home. The people who really are at the top of this industry really understand that they have to get out there and perform, no matter what it takes.

Having said all that, I believe this job is not for everybody, but everybody can do it.

They have to talk the talk in order to walk the walk. I don’t care what you say to yourself or what it takes, whether you shake yourself into it, do whatever it takes to get out there today.

I’m on my way to work and I’m pumped, I’m excited, I’ve come this far because I cultivated these qualities. Sure there are setbacks, there are will be conflicts, but the more people you talk to, the more people you pitch to you’ll create more opportunities and the more you’ll grow!

So get out there and get cracking!

  1. Hey Paul! I’ve been listening to your podcast since I got started in door to door sales about 4 months ago. I haven’t been seeing the results I was striving for in the beginning. It’s now been 5 weeks since I made a sale and it’s really starting to drain my bank account the longer I go. Giving up is not an option for me. I wake up feeling positive but after a long day I feel completely depleted. I feel like it’s something to do with my door approach or the transition but I can’t figure it out.

    • The podcast is something I need to work on being more consistent with. It’s a ton of work but i’ll make it happen. Let’s replenish that bank account how ? knowledge and implementation. You need to keep knocking, increase the hours you knock and absorb the content. Let me guess, you still haven’t bought the program ? shit man, you throw it on a card , you have 30 days to pay it off, in those 30 days you stream the videos 12 hours a day, PROBLEM SOLVED.. how bad do you want it ? did you throw in the towel yet ? time to up the mental game. We live in a time where life is designed to make you feel like nothing is wrong with your current thinking, i really feel bad for the generations to come and hope there is an awakening… Here to help wake up the sales dead and ethically thrive in this environment. God bless.
